Pre-match Training Summary & Statement of Completion

All children who will be working with Big Brothers Big Sisters volunteers must receive Pre-Match Training prior to being matched, in accordance with the Big Brothers Big Sisters National Standards of Service Delivery. This training must include the Big Brothers Big Sisters Key Messages as follows:
• We’re here for you, from the beginning to the end of your match. • Together, we’ll ensure you have a strong, safe, healthy, enjoyable match. • A match has a beginning, middle, and end, and each stage is important and different. • You’re making a commitment. • Safe relationships are healthy relationships. • Follow your instincts. • Trust your feelings. • Set goals that fit your interests. • Strong boundaries mean strong relationships. • You have a Circle of Support. • There are Keep Secrets and Speak Secrets. • You can always talk with your Caseworker. • We’re here for you throughout your match. • Be Strong from the Start!
